Technical Position in Aircraft Maintenance

About the Unit

The Aircraft Maintenance Unit is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of our Gripen aircraft as well as all maintenance equipment related to the aircraft. The unit also handles daily flight operations, including readiness and preparation. Our work is primarily focused on national missions, but international operations do occur. The Aircraft Maintenance Unit consists of a unit leadership, the 11th and 12th Aircraft Maintenance Companies, the aircraft workshop, and availability group 94.

Main Responsibilities

As a material technician in a combat aircraft company, you ensure that the company's materials, vehicles, units, and spare parts are available and in good condition. Your days will vary as we work with both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will also be responsible for certain inventory operations. The position will focus on the fuel function within the company. This means learning, developing, and thinking innovatively about the function within the company. In the role of material technician, you are curious and practical, with an interest in mechanics and repairs. The work team consists of a troop leader, deputy leader, and five material technicians. Your work also includes maintaining a good physical standard. With employment in the Armed Forces, there is an obligation to be trained and serve in both national and international missions.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Driver's license at least class B (Manual)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Personal Attributes

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

• Driver's license class (C1, C, CE, Wheel Loader)
• ADR (Dangerous Goods)
• Previous experience in fuel service
• Previously completed Military Basic Training
• Experience with the Armed Forces' support systems LIFT, PRIO, and FENIX
